I am a real estate agent and yes real estate agents still serve an important role in your transaction. The ""human factor"" is the one that finds out how you feel about properties and knows what you are willing to compromise on and what you are absolutely not. The ""human factor"" is what knows the difference between your home and the neighbors home to know why your house will sell for more. My experience in sales, eye for detail, and vision for design, has helped me get the greatest return on investment for my customers.

The way we do business has changed over the years with the innovation of the internet, but the fundamentals of real estate are still the same. Education, research, negotiation and customer service above all, are the key differences that set humans apart.
